Sagar completed his M.Tech. in Material Science and Engineering from Tripura University (A Central University) in 2019 before joining Ph.D. at IIT Gandhinagar. He studied the effect of reinforcement milling time on mechanical property, aging, and electrochemical behaviour of Al2O3 reinforced Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy metal matrix composite fabricated through powder metallurgy route. He is a gold medal recipient for securing rank 1 in post-graduation (M.Tech). He was also one of the grand finalists of Smart India Hackathon, 2019 Hardware Edition for designing and developing a hydrogen storage prototype with his team. His research at AMPRG focused on Thermodynamic and Kinetic Simulation of materials properties and computational alloy design. He is also interested in development of high entropy alloys, MMCs, and alloys for metal additive manufacturing.
