Som is currently an M.Tech student in the Materials Engineering department at IIT Gandhinagar. He is working on the Formability evaluation of friction stir welded dissimilar Aluminum alloys Al-5083 and Al-6061- T6. His work deals with forming the defect-free weld by choosing optimum welding parameters and then doing mechanical and microstructural characterization to understand dissimilar material’s flow behavior then followed by a formability test.
