Indus University Students at IITGN

Amit Kumar Singh explaining workings of Scanning Electron Microscope to the visiting students

Materials Science and Engineering IIT Gandhinagar hosted students from the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Indus University, Ahmedabad led by Dr. K. Santhy. The students had a first-hand experience on some of the state-of-the-art materials science instruments available at IITGN.

MSE research scholars explained the uses of instruments in Metallography Lab, Materials and Mechanical Characterization Lab, Bio-Nanomaterials Lab, Central Instrumentation Facility, and Friction Stir facility. This was a unique opportunity for IITGN students to build networks with fellow institutions.

Here is a comment from the visiting students “enjoyed seeing new instruments and enthusiastic explanations from the research scholars. They got motivated after seeing the IITGN atmosphere.”

We look forward to hosting more such visits, forge fruitful collaborations, and nurture lasting friendships.
