Sambit completed his B. Tech. in Production Engineering from Institute of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Sarang, Odisha (2020) before joining M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar. He worked on the Design and Manufacturing of Prosthetic limbs for his dissertation. He has also worked on manufacturing of turbine blades by Investment casting, in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Koraput. His research work is based on developing of minichannels by Friction stir channeling method. He is also interested in Modeling of Friction Stir Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc welding, Laser welding and use of channels in heat sink applications.
