Deepak Dhariwal

Research Assistant

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar

Deepak Dhariwal joined AMPRG in his junior year of B.Tech. to work on heat transfer and fluid flow modelling in laser-assisted additive manufacturing processes. Before joining our group, he has worked on Characterization of magnetic thin films, Nucleation and growth kinetics in polymer systems and ionic liquids, Calculations of bandstructure and phonons in tin sulphide using Density Functional Theory. Deepak is interested in carrying computational studies across the materials science, metallurgy or applied physics domains. His current research is focused on dynamic recrystallization and modelling evolution of grain size, orientation and strength during friction stir processing.
